Optua Support provides a range of flexible community-based support services for people with physical, learning and sensory disabilities and older people. We also have experience in providing specialised support for people with an acquired brain injury.
We have a positive and creative approach to supporting people to have as much independence, control and choice as possible in their lives.
Optua's Support service draws upon the wealth of experience and expertise Optua has in supporting disabled people. We have developed a more innovative, flexible and responsive service which can provide support to more people across a wider area of Suffolk.
Everything we do aims to put the person we're supporting at the centre of the support they receive so it suits their needs and wishes. This may be for just a few hours a week or 24 hours a day.
The support we can provide can be flexible to meet people's individual needs and circumstances:
Optua's Support service can enable people to get out of their home and engage with their local community. We know how valuable it is for people to be able to go out for the day, enjoy leisure activities, go shopping or swimming or visit friends - all the things that most people take for granted. We can support people to become more independent and do the things they want to do.
We provide a quality homecare service for disabled or older people who need help to enable them to live as independently as possible in their own home. Our support workers may visit for a few hours every week or every day, to help with personal care or help round the home.
Optua runs nine supported housing schemes across Suffolk which provide support for people with disabilities. The high quality support we provide is aimed at giving them as much independence as possible and to enable them to access and enjoy their local community.
Optua Support builds on the expertise Optua has in working with people with a brain injury and our Optua UK service can also offer case management to people with complex needs because of an acquired brain injury.
